We value and support our customers, and we understand that having a car accident and dealing with its aftermath can be incredibly stressful. If your child car seat has been in an accident, you can’t be sure that it’s still safe. Even if you can’t see any damage, it may not function properly. That’s why we came up with our Car Seat Swap Advisory Service.
At Maxi-Cosi, we know all about car seat safety. For over 30 years, we’ve been constantly innovating and testing our car seats to make them even safer for your little ones. As ground-breaking market leaders in child travel safety, Maxi-Cosi rigorously tests our car seats to meet and exceed all legal requirements for testing. Once we understand the circumstances related to your car accident, we will be able to advise whether your car seat needs replacing. If we determine that your car seat does need to be replaced, you will be able to exchange the seat for a brand new car seat, similar to the one in the accident either via your insurance company or Maxi-Cosi directly.
Which car seats can we advise on?
This service is available for all Maxi-Cosi car seats involved in an accident. Our Customer Care team, through your feedback, will determine if a replacement is needed.
What information will we need to help decide whether your car seat needs to be replaced?
We will first ask you to tell us about the circumstances of your accident; speed, other vehicles involved, direction of impact etc. We will also ask you to supply photograph’s of the damage to your car. If your car seat needs to be replaced directly via Maxi Cosi, we will then need some additional information from you:
• your completed insurance claim form and/or the police report
• a completed Maxi-Cosi accident form, which we will send you
• the car seat from the accident
What will you get in return?
You’ll receive:
• a brand new car seat, similar to the one in the accident, sent as quickly as possible so your child can travel safely
• free collection and delivery service
